This interactive, hands-on training teaches infant care, safety, and first aid from certified Canadian Red Cross instructors.Become a responsible and skilled babysitter and provide care to children of different ages with the Babysitting course.Unlike fast-paced one-day (8hrs) lecture formats, our standard Red Cross certification is delivered across two separate morning sessions to help teens stay engaged and absorb the material more effectively.

Course Content
- How to be responsible and demonstrate leadership
- How to make good decisions and manage difficult behaviours
- Information on children’s developmental stages, and specific strategies for each stage
- How to feed, diaper, dress, and play with children and babies
- How to recognize and prevent unsafe situations, make safe choices and promote safe behaviours
- First aid skills
- The business of babysitting

Ages: 11+ (or completed GR5). Please note: this course is not suitable for participants above the age of 15
Training dates: for entrepreneurship, financial literacy course and hands-on experience for teens ages 12-15.
